Vรฅr visjon
โThe vision for this project is to design a mosque with an associated cultural centre that can serve as a meeting place for Muslims in Nordre Follo and surrounding areas. The traditional mosque typology will be reconsidered with an idea of finding a modern framework โ one that can offer the sacred and spiritual quality of a mosque within a building designed in a Nordic context for future generations.โ

The planned building will hold approximately 700 people and include: mosque with prayer halls for men and women, cultural facilities for all ages, classrooms and meeting rooms, kitchen and cafรฉ, and a washing room (Ghusal).
The centre will be a community hub where Muslims and non-Muslims alike can benefit spiritually and socially โ learning about Islam through dialogue, discussion and social interaction.
MKS owns a debt-free property of approximately 3.2 acres at Glynitveien 32 in Ski Business Park โ about 1.8 km from Ski town centre, with excellent public transport links to Ski Station.
